Jerry’s Magnificent Hall of Magnifico

I’ve never really written anything like a blog before but i guess anything can go here right? Well ive been thinking about lots of thinks. Not surprising since its semester break and i got nothing much to do.Gazing the stars at night and looking at the moon. Such relaxing moments rarely comes to a student like me or to most people anyway. Most of us care too much about grades and achievements and jobs that we rarely stop and appreciate whats around us. I could hardly blame them anyway since life moves so fast and a stop could mean difference in the amount of money they make. That is what i see in people nowadays anyway.

Well so there i was, at peace with myself (sounds corny i know but what else can i say ) when a few thoughts came to me that set me thinking. The questions sound simple enough but the answers that i could think off could really change how one lives. Its like philosophy i guess.

For starters lets see. What is real? Apa itu wujud? How do you define real? Does it really exist? If you watch The Matrix they tackle the same question. How do you know the cup you are holding exist? If real is what you see or feel or hear or taste, then real is only signals interpreted by the brain. Consider the possibility here. A cup. How do you know its a cup? It looks like a cup. It feels like a cup. You use it like you would use a cup. Thats how we came to realise that its a cup and we say that the cup exist because we manage to define it. Then suddenly your sister comes and says "hey thats not a cup thats a bowl"(imagine a chinese tea cup, they could be mistaken as a small bowl). Boom! What is this? Wasnt that a cup? We have already define earlier that that thing was a cup yet your sisters says its a bowl. To her it looks like a bowl, feels like a bowl and therefore its a bowl. The existance of the cup has been shattered by your sister. So now the question is…where did the cup go? Sounds like a magic show lol but seriously. Did the cup ever existed? Was it real? If people could understand the significance this question carry….well i dunno what could happen. Perhaps we can finally answer the big question itself.

Another thing that bogles my mind is the truth about good and evil. From childhood we have been taught what is good and what is bad. Helping people is good while mocking them is bad, for example. We learn more thru experience. But get this, killing animal, say a cow, for the purpose of eating is okay (except for PETA idiots who think animal have rights, i’ll get into animal rights later). Yet if we simply kill the cow for no purpose or merely on a whim we get the big red seal of sinned, berdosa or simple we are labeled bad/evil. Now to people who can think they will say ‘but its the same act!’. 2 person does the same action yet the latter guy gets the blame. The difference in this case is the intention of doing something that leads to action being considered good or evil. So in the end the truth about good and evil is only a matter of opinion. Person A kills a cow person B kills a cow. The action is the same, killing but because people believe differently the meaning is twisted according to ones belief. So in the end good and evil is only an opinion, nothing more. From here on we can say that good and evil doesnt exist. Why? Opinions are merely thoughts. I think santa clause exist. Thats an opinion. Is it real? Well up to you to decide. But this answer leads to some interesting question(no not the santa clause one haha). Questions like if there is no good and bad, does pahala and dosa(reward for good deeds and sin) exist? If there is no dosa and pahala, do heaven or hell exist? Which in turn leads to….do god exist? Personally i think that there is something that we(most of us maybe) dont understand. Suppose that god doesnt lie and that his books are true then there must be some misunderstand somewhere. People are ignorant about it. They take it as it is and never really think. I intend to find out where did we get it wrong.

Oh yea about animal rights oh my god this is the most riduculous idea anyone can come up with. Lets rephrase some things that we all know. Why we humans have our rights? Simple, because we CREATE them. Human rights are there because we made them to protect ourselves. It is not our job to go around and make rights for animal because we are not those animals. Every living things on the planet strive to survive to ensure the continuity of their species and if they cant then that means they are weak and not suitable to live in the current environment. Of course you might say ‘it is their right to live’ but it is ours too, and the birds need their food. So does the tigers, lions, snakes elephant girafe and all those other animals. Survival of the fittest is the name of the game. You lose, your lost. Simple. Of course i know we should respect other things. I dont go about and slaughter every cow i see but that doesnt mean im obliged to protect them.
Plus they have survived for thousands of years and still exist today and continues to breed. What makes you think they need our help now?

Oh well that about all i could think right now. Its rare for me to go ranting like this but it happens ones in a while Feel free to comment but please if you disagree with me on something, attack my idea and not me myself as a person writing this. Of course you are free to do that as i am free to what i think but please dont make me hate you. Well cheerio~
